Tikva Housing Society is a charitable non-profit housing society that provides access to innovative and affordable housing solutions, primarily for Jewish individuals and families. Tikva owns or operates seven affordable rental housing developments for low-income households. The Society also manages a donor-funded rent subsidy program providing temporary financial assistance to households living in market rental housing. Tikva’s goals are to provide safe, secure, well-maintained affordable rental housing to all current tenants and to expand its housing portfolio.
Tikva is seeking a full-time Property Manager to be responsible for the management and operation of Tikva’s social housing portfolio and Rent Subsidy Program to ensure the highest level of service is provided to the Society’s tenants and clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 3-5 years of property management experience
• Experience in property management preferably in the non-profit or co-op housing sector
• Experience in using property management software
• Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act, regulations, and processes
• Knowledge of the non-profit housing sector
• Knowledge of building maintenance, systems, preventative maintenance, and capital planning
They will be team-oriented with excellent communication skills, a good problem solver and negotiator, and able to work well under pressure and handle tight deadlines.
A valid class 5 BC driver’s license is required.
COMPENSATION: Salary will be between $60,000 and $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Tikva has an employee benefits package, which is effective after 3 months of employment. Tikva provides paid time off for most Jewish holidays.
