The Program Coordinator will play a key leadership role within the Chabad Richmond team, responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing a portfolio of programs and services that align with the organization’s mission and values. This role requires a visionary and strategic thinker who can deliver high-impact services to various user groups at Chabad Richmond.

Permanent Part – time (20-30 hours per week)
Wage Rate: $28.00 per hour

Chabad of Richmond is a community-based organization established in 1998 with the mission of serving the religious, educational, social and cultural needs of the Jewish community in Richmond. Our programming includes adult education programs, teen and children’s programming along with holiday, ongoing and special event programs throughout the year and bi-weekly cultural and social programming for adults 55 plus.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Executive Director, the program coordinator will play a key leadership role within Chabad Richmond responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing a portfolio of programs and services that align with the organization’s mission and values. This role requires a strategic thinker and social media savvy individual who can design and implement a variety of programs to various user groups along with coordinating and implementing holiday and community wide programs and events. Must be able to pivot and adapt to day to day operational needs of organization.

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Acting in accordance with Chabad Richmond’s mission, vision, values and policies in all dealings.

Program Development and Strategy:
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and refine the organization's program strategy.
• Identify new opportunities for program expansion and development to meet the evolving needs of the community.
• Ensure that all programs align with the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals.
• Participates in the development and delivery of proposals to funding organizations, based on emerging needs and opportunities.

Program Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Chabad Richmond programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively and efficiently.
• Monitor program budgets, track expenses, and ensure responsible financial management.
• Evaluate program outcomes and impact, making data-driven decisions for improvement.
• Ensures the right mix of personnel for the delivery of quality and safe programming.

Team Leadership:
• Lead a diverse team of staff, volunteers and students providing them with mentorship, guidance, and support.
• Foster a collaborative environment of both volunteers and team members to deliver programs and services in a positive and respectful manner

Community Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors.
• Represent Chabad Richmond at community events and meetings to promote the organization's work and mission.
• Seek out and cultivate new partnerships to enhance program offerings.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Ensure that all programs adhere to relevant and mandatory regulations and best practices.
• Implement quality assurance processes to continually improve program delivery and outcomes.
• Ensure that all PR and Advertising adhere to Chabad Richmond guidelines

Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare any correspondence as required on behalf of Directors or Board
• Maintain accurate program records, including participant data and program statistics

EDUCATION/SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• First Aid CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain) an asset.
• Food Safe certification would be an advantage

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in program management&/or volunteer leadership, preferably in a non-profit or
community service organization.
• Experience understanding the complex social needs of our diverse community including isolation and mental health, while maintaining confidentiality. Working with community stakeholders to resources the necessary services to ensure safety of at risk participants

QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency to use Canva, MS Word, excel and Salesforce, Facebook and Instagram
• Excellent organizational and time management skills focused and able to prioritize a busy workload
• Knowledge of Jewish community partners & infrastructure is an asset

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Comfortable working in a faith-based environment
• May require bending and lifting intermittently.
• Some evening and weekend availability may be required.
• May require flexibility in working locations and working remotely.
