Annual Campaign to address next phase of COVID impact

As we gear up for the launch of 2021 Federation Annual Campaign on September 1st, our community is entering a new phase of the pandemic – one characterized by great uncertainty. There are new challenges on the horizon. Individuals and families are trying to stay healthy as variants of concern emerge. And the challenge for our partner agencies is determining how to plan effectively for reopening and recovery when the situation and needs are ever evolving.

That is where Jewish Federation’s unique strengths comes in. With a broad level view of what is happening across our community, and our expertise in community planning, bringing together organizations, facilitating collaborations and fundraising, Jewish Federation provides a level of stability to our partners and the individuals that rely on them.

Strengthened by what we as a community have accomplished so far, we are inspired by where we can go next. Over the last 18 months, our partners have innovated to meet the needs of our community. Donors gave generously and volunteers reached out to help. Together, we have come through the crisis phase of COVID impact, with a sense of strength that positions us to address the next phase of community needs. There is still work to be done but we are hopeful for the future.

Brighter days, but not for everyone

We have all felt the impact of the pandemic, but for some people its caused a cascading effect of challenges. With those who were already vulnerable hit the hardest. Our partners are not only responding to increased needs but new and emerging needs brought on by the pandemic. COVID-19 has shone a light on issues such as, mental health, and the lack of resources available particularly for youth. With significant job loss and the rising cost of living in one of the most expensive regions in the world, more people than ever are reaching out to our partners for help.

The time to act is now.

This is our opportunity to draw on our strengths and look ahead to where we can go. As a community, we have always come together to support those in need and with your help there is nothing that we can’t accomplish as we navigate this road of reopening and recovery.

Even amongst all the uncertainty the pandemic brings our way – we see great opportunities ahead. If we respond together.

We are preparing to launch the 2021 Federation Annual Campaign and we’re going to be calling on community members to participate. Together, we can seize this opportunity to lift our community to greater heights and build for a brighter tomorrow.
