It’s softball season in Vancouver again with the 4th annual Axis Camp Classic! Join other Jewish young adults in their 20s and 30s on August 26th for a one-day softball tournament that boasts fun in the sun, some friendly competition, and lots of summer BBQ. To top it off, all proceeds go toward a great cause—sending kids to Jewish summer camp.
You can register as a team, which must consist of 12–15 players with a minimum of three female players, or sign up as a single and we will place you on an all-star team.

Axis Develops Jewish Leaders
Jewish Federation is proud to support the Axis Camp Classic as a way of engaging young adults in Jewish community, our commitment to which is part of our 2020 Strategic Priorities. Through Axis, the next generation develops their ability to take on needed leadership and philanthropic roles within our community.
The Axis Camp Classic is a great example of this. Four years ago, Axis young adults designed and created the softball tournament themselves—including choosing to support Jewish Federation’s campership program, which provides financial aid for local families to send their kids to Jewish summer camp. The Camp Classic has grown in reach and capacity because of ongoing volunteer leadership.
Young Adults Choose Jewish Summer Camp as Funding Priority
Jewish Federation is committed to building a strong community and providing opportunities for learning within a Jewish context. Camperships are primarily funded by the Federation Annual Campaign, and the demand for them is high. As the cost of living continues to rise, more and more families need camperships for their kids.
Axis young adults chose to direct proceeds from the Camp Classic to Jewish Federation’s campership program because they believe in the impact camp has on a child’s life. More than just a fun way to spend the summer, Jewish summer camp helps provide the foundation for children to develop strong Jewish identities as they grow.
