Planning for Our Older Community Members

Our population of seniors is growing and by 2030 is expected to be double what it was in 2014. Planning for their current and future needs is a challenge - and an area of opportunity - that we identified in our 2020 Strategic Priorities. Following the highly successful Affordability Summit in the spring of 2017, we are pleased to announce the date of a new planning forum focused on seniors. This planning forum, titled The Changing Landscape: Pathways Ahead, will focus on the demographic shift taking place in Canada and the growing population of older adults. Three key themes will be addressed: Aging in Place, Caregiver Support, and Social Connection, as well as the opportunities for our community to respond.
