  • Jewish culture on the front lines
  • Israel’s pioneering work for vulnerable populations
  • Jews in North Africa and Turkey

 

A keynote address from JDC’s Executive Vice-President Emeritus Alan Gill, and a special conversation across generations about our role in the global future with JDC’s Will Recant and his daughter Rebecca.  With experts on Israel and the Middle East, Russia, Europe, Latin America and Asia, including JDC senior professionals Sam Amiel, Solly Kaplinski, Rebecca Neuwirth, and Michael Novick.

 

Followed by An Evening to Bring Back Hope, honoring and supporting an extraordinary person, Dr. Rick Hodes, who has devoted his personal and professional life to Ethiopia’s poor and sick.

 

In the course of Rick’s 27 years of service, as JDC’s Medical Director in Ethiopia, and working with the Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity and hospital clinics, Rick treats people of all religions and ethnicities suffering from heart disease, cancer, scoliosis and tuberculosis of the spine.
