Gesher Chai (Living Bridge) Programs

Gesher Chai (Living Bridge) programs promote global Jewish identity and unity through people-to-people connections between Canadian and Galilee Panhandle residents at three different levels: student-to-student, teacher-to-teacher, and peer-to-peer connections. Each of our Gesher Chai programs has an impact felt in hearts around the world.

King David High School and Partnership2Gether

Jewish Federation’s participation in Partnership2Gether helps students from KDHS build lasting ties with their sister school in Israel, Har Vagai. Students form bonds that support them through college, military service, and adulthood.

Educator Conference in Israel

Through Partnership2Gether, we support a unique conference for educators in our Vancouver schools and their brother or sister schools in Israel. Hosted in Israel every other year, the conference deepens connections as the educators come together and share ideas.

Hora Goel – Kiryat Shmona’s Folk Dance Group

A talented dance group of Israeli teenagers visits our community every second year. The dance group visits schools and community organizations, and shares centre stage with our Orr Chadash and Orr Atid dance groups at Festival Ha'Rikud and Yom Ha'atzmaut.
