We are heartbroken by the tragic events that unfolded at Vancouver's Lapu Lapu Festival. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Filipino community during this deeply painful time.
On April 26, 2025, during the Lapu-Lapu Day Block Party in Vancouver's Sunset neighbourhood, a vehicle drove into the crowd, killing at least 11 people and injuring more than 20. What was meant to be a celebration of the Philippines' first national hero turned into a tragedy, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
