Founded as a "heder" or after school program in 1934, Vancouver Talmud Torah is a preschool to seventh grade traditional community Jewish day school. We are dedicated to producing well-rounded, well-prepared and spiritually grounded students who have a decided advantage as they face the increasing challenges of high school and university. We offer a thoughtful balance of general academic and Judaic studies designed to excite, inspire and challenge our pluralistic student body. We are a school dedicated to excellence in an engaging and a respectful learning environment in which Jewish children can grow to become proud, caring, responsible and dedicated members of the Jewish people and Canadian society. We are the largest Jewish day school in Western Canada and offer a myriad of services to support the diverse learning styles of our students.
