Royal Canadian Legion Shalom Branch 178 was formed in 1945 by a group of Jewish WW2 Veterans after their return to Canada.

This Legion is a dry branch and has been since its inception. The Branch supports the Vancouver Community as well as the Vancouver Jewish Community. Many groups, including BCIT, Talmud Torah School and Hebrew Academy, have received assistance from the Branch. The George Derby Centre also receives support.

Shalom Branch is always looking to increase membership. You do not have to be a Veteran to be a member.
