Together with Schara Tzedeck Congregation and the Jewish War Veterans, the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre holds an annual High Holidays Cemetery on the Sunday between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at the VHEC's Holocaust memorial, located at Schara Tzedeck Cemetery.

On April 26, 1987, 1,300 members of the community including Holocaust survivors and their families unveiled the VHEC’s Holocaust memorial at Schara Tzedeck Cemetery. More than 900 names of family members who perished during the Holocaust have been inscribed. Names continue to be added to the memorial.
