Jewish peoplehood is a core component of Judaism. Ironically, the notion of a Jewish collective is
predicated on diversity rather than uniformity; on a shared platform of variety and abundance as opposed to a standardized set of beliefs or practices. This concept, rooted in the Bible's tribal framework, is both one of our greatest strengths and challenges.
How do we balance promoting our own - or our tribe's - priorities while also identifying with those of the larger collective?
