In the Torah reading for Simchat Torah, Moses blesses each of the tribes of Israel and compares them to different animals. Come join us at the Peretz Centre for a two-hour, hands-on, engaging Creative Writing workshop for 7-9 year olds, led by Hannah Yerington (a young Jewish poet and educator and founder of the Bolinas Poetry Camp). Children will write a creative blessing/story for themselves and their favourite animals, and take home a handmade scroll decorated with their own piece of creative writing.
