Take a deep breath: we're not “Jews for Jesus”, we're just examining Jesus through a Jewish lens. In this class we will look at Jesus as a Jewish teacher and explore the fascinating discoveries we find when we take a Jewish look at his life. Some eminent Jews, like Albert Einstein and Martin Buber, have argued that it’s far past time for Jews to reclaim Jesus as one of our own. But was he a teacher of Judaism, or something else? Stripped of their later Christian elaboration, do his teachings have any meaning for Jews today?
