Personal and historical memory are fundamental to how Jews understand themselves. Over the past few years, Jewish storytellers have struggled to (re)claim their voices at a time when Jewish people and their stories are being silenced, those experiences being delegitimized.
Join us for a screening of David Bercovici-Artieda’s "The Fast Runner," a short film telling the story of a young girl’s courage in the face of the Holocaust, followed by a conversation featuring the filmmaker, plus playwright Mark Leiren-Young, and SFU professor Dr. Lilach Marom.
