A Ohel Yaʼakov Community Kollel Program geared to children (and their mom/dad ;)) Birth to 36 months (other ages welcome)

At the Mini Kollel, each class marks the beginning of a new adventure for your little person. Our interactive curriculum is designed to provide your toddler with challenges and opportunities that nurture feelings of competence and build self-confidence.

The Mini Kollel is designed to be a place where your child’s imagination can soar, providing the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Tots will enjoy a new theme each time; incorporating movement exercises, music, creative play, sensory play and crafts. Free play provides a time for your child to explore and develop his or her earliest friendships.

Led by Leah Shapiro, preschool teacher.

Sample Schedule:

10:00am-10:30am: Welcome and Free Play

10:30am-10:45am: Circle Time (music, stories, introduction of daily theme)

10:45am-11:00am: Snack Time

11:00am – 11:30am: Daily theme explored through art, music, drama, etc. (example, decorating apple dishes for Rosh Hashanah)

11:30am-12:00noon: Guided Play (stations set up with puzzles, coloring and crafts, sensory activities, creative and drama stations etc.)

12:00pm-12:30pm: Outdoor play/ Indoor Free Play

12:30pm-1:00pm: Goodbye, or stay and hang out for lunch (Bring your own)

Mini Kollel members can drop in to any or all programs as convenient.
