Canadian Associates of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is hosting its second National Virtual Gala featuring acclaimed Emmy and Golden Globe award nominee, Shira Haas, star of the Netflix 's hit series Shtisel. This virtual gala will support research into neurodegenerative diseases at Ben-Gurion University's Zlotowski Center for Neuroscience by creating the Canada Fund for Brain Research. Shira Haas will have a fireside conversation with Senator Linda Frum (broadcast live from Israel) and with BGU President Professor Daniel Chamovitz. Guests will receive a gift box with locally made goodies as well as organic olive oil from the Negev and other treats. The program will be broadcast live at 2:45 pm Pacific and there will be a special rebroadcast in Western Canada at 7:00 pm pacific.
