Characterized by excellent parks, walking trails, playgrounds and picnic areas, There is a growing population of Israeli and Russian Jews here in addition to the long-established Jewish community. Connect Me In has an active presence in the area as well as collaborating with organizations like the Burquest Jewish Community Association in Coquitlam on events and programs such as a bi-weekly Hebrew school and Jewish holiday parties.

  • Jewish Family Services Tri-Cities Food Link

    Jewish Family Services (JFS) has introduced the Tri-Cities Jewish Food Link, providing healthy, nutritious food to low-income families at no cost. To qualify, households must have less than $40,000/year annual income. If you are interested or if you know someone who is, please contact Donna Riback, driback@jfsvancouver.ca or 604.637.3305. Connect Me In is proud to support this program by connecting families to JFS. The program is also supported by a grant from the Jewish Community Foundation.

Past Program Highlights

  • Preteens and Tweens Clubs

    Two groups of children ages eight to 14 been having a fantastic time making friends and doing Jewish. From escape rooms and bowling nights to Chanukah parties and packing Passover food packages for seniors, the wide variety of activities keeps kids engaged.

  • Purim Party

    Together with Burquest Jewish Community Association and Aleph in the Tri-Cities, we hosted nearly 200 community members for a fun-filled, family-friendly Purim party at Burquest in Coquitlam. We had a great time dressing up in costumes, eating hamantaschen, and, of course, booing Haman!
