From the beaches and nightlife of Tel Aviv to exploring the Old City of Jerusalem, you’ll find yourself immersed in local culture. You’ll create incredible memories, whether it’s hiking up Masada to see the sunrise, floating in the Dead Sea, or welcoming Shabbat at the Kotel. A unique aspect of Taglit-Birthright Israel is the opportunity you’ll have to get to know Israelis your own age through the mifgash (encounter) with members of the IDF.

Extreme Adventure:
Calling all outdoors lovers! Interested in discovering Israel by hiking it, climbing it and crawling through it? Don’t mind getting your hands dirty? Then this is the trip for you. The Extreme Outdoor Adventure program will take the core components of the Taglit-Birthright Israel original program and add an extreme twist.

Re-Charge:
This trip welcomes all Canadians who have a passion for health and wellness via lifestyle trends, recreation, diet, and spiritual search. This program will expose participants to the leading wellness trends in Israel, while tying it in with healthy living and Jewish tradition.

Russian/Canadian:
Is your family from the former Soviet Union? Do you mix Russian and English at home? Are you a university or college student? Join a group of university students from Moscow, Russia as well as Israeli-Russian soldiers for a 10-day adventure in Israel.

Jewish Federation funds one-third of each trip for local participants through the Federation Annual Campaign, with the remainder funded by the Israeli government and leading Jewish philanthropists. Since the program’s inception in 2000, our Jewish Federation has provided over $500,000 in funding for local young adults to experience Israel through Taglit-Birthright Israel. That’s helped more 1,200 local young adults experience Israel for the first time.
